"Tuscan Farmhouse" - Sold

Copyrighted by © 2008 Linda Warner Constantino - 7" by 5" - oil on linen board.

This painting is from my recent trip to Spannocchia near Siena, Italy where I will be teaching a workshop this summer. I was heading to paint another view when I turned and saw this farmhouse nestled in the hillside with the orchard in front of it. I cannot wait to come back and paint in the same area this summer with everything in bloom.

This looks like a great place to paint Linda. You must be very excited.
I like these few paintings that you have posted recently of the area.

Thank you Frank,
My recent trip to Spannocchia was a dream come true - being totally on my own to paint for me.
I mostly used a very limited palette - 3-5 colors.
I tried the Vasari oils used by Scott Christensen - ultramarine blue, cadmium yellow and permenant red med. plus titanium white. It was challenging especially to try and create greens.
I like the elemental feeling of working with a limited palette.

Thanks again for your comments and encouragement.
