Vickie of Snowy Days Art has just awarded me The Brilliante Premio Weblog Award. Thanks for responding to my work! This seems like a good way to spread the word about what all you creative people are doing out there. Now it's my turn to suggest some noteworthy blogs. Here they are:

1. Morgan is a young jewelry maker who just happens to be my daughter. She is self-taught and has built up her business in the past year through Etsy and holding trunk shows. I am so proud of her!

2. Laurie is a fabulous cook who started a blog called Mediterraean Cooking in Alaska to publicize a cookbook she wrote as a fundraiser for her church. It has evolved into a most informative blog her daily recipes. Great photos of the food. Warning they will make you hungry.(She is related to me too - my sister-in-law.)

3. Katherine is a painter and illustrator with a distinctive style worth checking out. She talks about all kinds of things artsy and otherwise.

4. Takeyce is an daily oil painter whose work just keeps getting better and better.

5. Rachel was one of my former students who is very talented at collage illustration. She just started a blog. I love watching her process.

6. Carol has a unique blog entitled Paris Breakfasts where she incorporates her fabulous watercolors with her love of all things Parisian.

7. Shiho is another former student who is most talented and is developing her blog about her illustration. She can draw anything.

The Award rules of accepting the award are as follows:
