Why am I so captivated painting fruits and vegetables? Maybe it is because I am a shape and color painter and I enjoy arranging them and creating different compositions. One of my favorite still life painters for shapes and color is Giovanna Garzoni the 17th century Italian painter whose work was in great demand while she was actually alive! Imagine that for a woman of her day.
